Client: West Vancouver School District | Location: West Vancouver, BC | Budget: $750,000 (est.) | Completed: 2016

Ecóle Pauline Johnson

Enns Gauthier led a comprehensive design team that included the West Vancouver School Board, the school’s PAC, and two non-profit groups: Stream Keeper Allinace and Projects in Place Society.  E|G took the team through an intensive and inclusive process, through concept design to design development to construction build-out.

The overall design intent was heavily based on naturalized landscapes, urban agriculture, and integrated stormwater management as an educational tool for the students.  Features included a season pond and wetland, berms and logs, a variety of social spaces and designated “art” spaces and a community garden of raised planter beds and work stations.
