First Baptist Church

Enns | Gauthier is pleased to partner with Bing Thom Architects and renowned local developer Westbank to deliver one of Vancouver’s most innovative urban development projects on the historic First Baptist Church site.

This project comprises of a 56-storey market condo and office tower, an 8-storey social housing development, as well as a full restoration of the historic church. The mixed use development calls for careful consideration of an entire block of the City’s West End neighbourhood, with the goal of creating a world class urban plaza that connects the various buildings on the site with the rest of the neighbourhood.

Water features, custom site furnishings and a range of appropriately scaled plaza spaces are woven together in a manner that reflects not just the rich landscape traditions of the West End neighbourhood but also continues First Baptist’s long-time function as a centre of civic life for the neighbourhood.
