Fort Rodd Hill

Enns | Gauthier is proud to work with Ratio Architecture in redesigning the historic Fort Rodd Hill National Historic Site. Named after the late admiral John Rashleigh Rodd, this historic site served as a coastal artillery fort to protect Victoria and the Esquimalt Naval Base. Just a short walk away from historic Fisgard Lighthouse, Fort Rodd Hill was Britain’s only naval station on the western seaboard between North and South America in the late 1800’s.

EG looks to lead the landscape redesigning of the main park entrance area, the new central plaza, as well as create an interactive play zone that allows youths and toddlers to experience, explore, and learn. E|G hopes to create a learning an immersive interactive environment that fully captures the cultural importance of the site.
