Elaine Zeng

Elaine’s design interests are rooted in the interaction between sustainability, the urban environment, and the innovative aspects of design. Originally from Zhongshan, a small city in China’s Guangdong province, Elaine received a Bachelor of Arts in Urban Geography from the University of Cincinnati with a Certificate in Geographic Information System. She is currently completing her Masters of Landscape Architecture at the University of British Columbia.

As a City of Vancouver Greenest City Scholar in the Summer of 2015, Elaine contributed her analytical skills as well as her language skills of Cantonese and Mandarin to examining the cultural considerations in private property tree planting.

In her spare time, Elaine enjoys hiking, volunteering, and playing volleyball. She also enjoys photography, and has traveled throughout North America and Asia to photograph landscapes.
